Grendale Farms Pvt Ltd is a pioneer in promoting Agri Parks such as the one in the video clip below. Agri Parks are set in the middle of agricultural expanses with a good supply of water and with conducive climatic conditions with accessibility to end markets for produce grown by the Agri Park units.

The challenge is to create an environment and common infrastructure which can promote growing more in less and less land, to meet the ever expanding needs of a growing world population. Intensive farming practises have been adapted to Indian conditions and it is now possible to grow very large quantities of vegetables and fruits in holdings as low as a hectare, or in polyhouses of about fifty cents (Around 2000 sq m)

Grendale Farms Pvt Ltd launched its first such venture in the Cumbum Valley in Tamilnadu in 2009, sourcing technology and inputs for farm owners in the larger Agri Park area to grow vegetables for the Kerala market across the border. Precision Farming principles popularised in Tamilnadu under the aegis of Tamilnadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore were made available to farm buyers to set up their farms. Farm owners at the facility, already covering over 50 Acres, now manage the day to day business of farming through a Producer Company. The Producer Company's role is to facilitate farming without the farm owner having to actually stay at the location full time. The Producer Company employs supervisors and manages labour, equipment and technology deployment to obtain optimum results for the owner of the farm.
